Storms and Stuff
Just returned from a round of interviews in Scotland and came back to probably the worst thunderstorms Chicago has seen in a long time. Here is the photographic evidence. We are without power and it looks like it might be this way for a few days. Hopefully, they will get it all together by the end of the day . . . we shall see.
The house is our across-street neighbors (oops!) and the street shots are the rest of our block.
The tree which was ripped from its base (80 to 90 mile per hour winds at 4:00 PM yesterday) is one block over.
Funny (hmmm) that a similar tree 10 feet away was unscathed. Of course, the mushrooms blossoming around the carnage prove that nature, ah nature, always wins.
