Temporary in a coalmine . . .

Well, as we get our feet back on the ground we have to do all sorts of things to get by while waiting for destiny to pan out. In the mean time, I have been documenting all sorts of things, both sound and image. I wake up at 6:00 AM to get to the office by 8:00. From the 44th floor I survey the buildings, my domain.

The task is to keep condominiums afloat while their normal managerial staff take a vacation -- pay the bills, walk the building, evict tenants, whatever they want me to do, I do it.

That's me, (the) Man for hire, adeptly juggling the conflicting concerns of various parties. It is a very different world, here back in the the City of Big Shoulders, this urban jungle of steel and concrete. All I can do is laugh, observe, marvel, and document it.

And this little sound file captured at the Chicago/State red line CTA station, Chicago, Illinois. September 28, 2007. I have entitled it Customer Assitance. Would someone please help this guy?
